Our Story

How it all started...

Lifespring started as a church-plant, from Northwest Foursquare Church in Federal Way, Washington, on Sunday, September 16th, 2001.

Expanding the Vision

Pastor Dan and Mary Bursch started at Lifespring as the Associate Pastors in January of 2010. Two years later, Pastor Dan became our Senior Pastor when then-lead-pastor, Chad Shilperoot, felt called to church-plant in Eastern Washington.

Pastor Jesse came on as the Pastoral Assistant in 2018 at Lifespring as was sent out in 2020 to Pastor in Kent Washington at One Hope Foursquare Church. Pastors Dan & Jesse remained friends and often communicated about ministry and what the Lord was doing in their individual ministries. After much prayer and with the approval of our Foursquare District, One Hope merged and joined Lifespring in January of 2022 to do more together for the Kingdom of God as one church.

The Bursch’s & Mendoza’s are excited to co-lead this church that is reaching the communities of Fife, Milton, Edgewood, and Federal Way. Pastors Dan & Jesse welcome you to a community that is all about Jesus. We love Him because He has first loved us (1 John 4:19).

Where we are headed...

As a church we seek to respond to God’s Word and the vision that He has given us. That vision has come to us through many prophetic words that have been shared and tested over the last few years by the Church. What we’ve received can be summed up this way: we want to be a community that's discipling people to be living by the Spirit and word of God. We anticipate and expect to see the Gospel bear fruit in people’s lives as we share the good news about Jesus with them.

We have seen many lives impacted over the years, but we don’t want to stop there. We just moved into our new church home location in Federal Way, and we're excited to see where and how God will use us to reach our community in this next new season!

Pastors Dan & Jesse
Co-Lead Pastors of Lifespring Foursquare Church

What does it mean to co-pastor? Well, we literally both lead the church. We have the same authority to make decisions for the direction, mission and vision. We share a lot of duties, but as our church is maturing, we find ourselves understanding our own unique gifts from God.
